They produced small sports car up to mid-1960s. OSCA’s first model, the MT4, was developed for both Formula Two (F2) and sports car racing. After only minor success in F2, the Maserati brothers focused on sports car racing. The model offered here is a 2 door 2-seater Barchetta that competed in the around Italy Mille Miglia in 1956. Carrying race number 428, this OSCA, driven by Cabianca (I), won the 1500cc Sports Car Class. The car had the higher performance 1500TN DOHC engine. This had Twin Spark and was slightly larger at 1,491cc. This special engine developed 118 bhp at 6,300 rpm. Model is in good condition and is on original display base. The model on base is in original cardboard/clear plastic packaging which has been opened. More photographs are available on request. Please contact seller if interested in model.
