Collectable Oxford Diecast 1:43 – Daimler SP250

Pre-owned 1:43 scale Oxford Diecast model car from my personal collection:- Oxford Diecast DSP003 Daimler SP250 Closed '60 Ivory & Red Erect Hood PRICE >> €20 or Best Offer (Original Cost €24) It was launched at the 1959 New York Motor Show as the Daimler Dart. Its greatest success was in the North American market. It had a fibreglass body, four-wheel Girling disc brakes, and a 2.5 litre Hemi-head V8 engine. The car was described as a 2+2, but the bench-like rear seat offered very limited leg room unless the front seats were pushed fully forward. Daimler were soon forced to drop the Dart name when threatened with legal action by Chrysler’s Dodge division, the car was then renamed the Daimler SP250. The SP250 was powered by Daimler’s advances hemispherical head V8 engine of 2,548cc with twin SU carburettors giving 140 @ 5,800 rpm. Model is in very good condition and is in its original display case with outer packaging sleeve. More photographs are available on request. Please contact seller if interested in model.
