15hh Arab X Connemara

For sale or potential trial period with a view to buy after agreed loan period; Billy; passport name Birdhill Prince -Billy is a flea bitten grey 15hh. -Arab/Connemara cross (has Irish white passport but no recorded breeding). -He is 16 years old and has been there and done it all including being an active participant in Pony Club for the last 3 years most recently competing in The Pony Club Spring Festival at Necarne Castle. -He would suit an experienced (possibly more mature) rider who mostly enjoys hacking out (alone or in groups) and would be best suited to a home where the focus is mainly flatwork and hacking. -He has perfect stable manners and is as good as gold for the farrier and the dentist. -His teeth and vaccinations are completely up to date. -He will happily jump a course of 60s or 70s and loves cross country at these heights too but will require a top up of treatment in his hocks annually if being jumped regularly. He also needs a slightly lengthier warmup before any work but once warmed up knows his job well. -This is a reluctant and sad sale as his current almost 15 year old rider wants to progress to jump higher and more frequently to progress but she absolutely adores him after 3 very happy years together and he has taught her so much. -Billy is the best boy who deserves a loving home. He thrives in the company of other horses and being kept in a good routine and has the most loveable personality. -His current rider would love to stay in touch and get updates about how he is doing in his new home. -We would consider allowing a trial with a view to buy (to be discussed and agreed). -Billy is priced to reflect the fact he needs a slightly quieter life and our priority is finding him an experienced loving home suited to him.
