17.1 hh hunter

9yo ISH Gelding, 17.1hh, by Ballyloskey Courage. Brave, Kind Hunter with Real Jumping Potential Patsy is a handsome Irish Sport Horse gelding, foaled 24 May 2017. He's by Ballyloskey Courage, who is by the approved Holsteiner stallion Courage II (by the legendary Capitol I), and his sire's dam is by the approved ISH stallion Candle King. His dam, Ballyloskeys Lady Grey, is believed to be Irish Draught type giving him a mix of Holsteiner scope and Irish Draught sense and substance, along with excellent, hard-wearing feet. He's a genuinely brave hunter who takes care of his rider, and he has been hunted by a lady. He'll take on whatever country you point him at, yet he never runs away with you. He has a soft mouth and goes in a simple snaffle. With Capitol I in his pedigree, he has the boldness and scope to make a great jumper too. Manners and honest details: He's easy to catch, stands to mount, and physio and teeth are up to date. In the past he was a little nervous for the farrier, but give him a haynet and he relaxes completely. He's very good hacking out alone and excellent in traffic. He can occasionally nap at the gate at the start of a hack, but with gentle guidance he moves on and goes forward happily. Once he knows an area, the napping disappears completely. He loads and travels well in a lorry. He's a big horse and finds a standard trailer a bit Ideal home: An experienced amateur, hunting or jumping home where he'll be kept in work and given time. He isn't a novice ride, but he'll give his all to the right person. He's for sale through no fault of his own. We'd love to keep him, but we simply have too many horses. He's open to vetting, and viewing is welcome. He'll only be sold to a suitable home, as his future matters more than a quick sale. Videos on request.
