Beautiful project mare

💫Mabel💫 -14yo -15.1hh -Thoroughbred mare Mabel came to us at the end of July along with another broodmare. She was never raced or in training, and had been broken in at a young age, however was used solely as a broodmare up until last year, so has very low mileage, hence wouldn't be suitable for a beginner or novice. She would thrive with a kind, confident rider, she has a very soft mouth and is a quick learner. When we took her in for the first time she hadn't been ridden in over 6 years, yet stood quietly to be tacked up and mounted, didn't even need tied up! She was schooled around the yard and it was like she'd been ridden everyday that week! She's been ridden a handful of times since, mainly out hacking and gaining confidence. Recently she was schooled over banks on the road and walked across a bridge over water with no issues! She might make someone a great wee hunter with time! When hacking alone she needs someone confident to hold her hand and kick her along, as she hasn't seen much, so needs to be given some more confidence! She is very clever however and will improve with time! Mabel is super friendly on the ground, loves cuddles, baths, being groomed, and is easy to load on the box, however due to a lack of handling this past few years she needs someone to work with her more on the ground e.g. lifting feet for the farrier as she can be a little impatient. She would never kick or bite! She prefers to be turned out, and gets along with our other horses, although she likes to be the boss of the herd! This is a completely honest ad, Mabel is such a sweet and gentle mare, our only reason for selling is we are completely overstocked due to keeping too many previous 'projects' 🙈We are asking £1500 ovno to a kind and knowledgeable 10🌟 home only!
