🏡 Looking for a special home for a lovely gentleman 🐴 16.3hh | 12-year-old gelding I’m looking for a kind, knowledgeable home where this lovely lad’s happiness and wellbeing will always come first. He is a genuine gentleman with a fantastic temperament. He is good with children, horses and other animals, loves being groomed and fussed over, and is calm and straightforward to handle. More woah than go and not the spooky type. • 16.3hh, 12-year-old gelding • Flat raced 5 times before retiring • Lovely, kind temperament • Good with children, horses & animals • Sensible and easy to handle • Loves attention and being groomed Please read carefully: He has mild kissing spines which were medicated at the start of the year. Although he improved following treatment, he has continued to show signs of discomfort/pain, particularly when ridden. He has also not been in consistent ridden work recently due to lack of time. Having considered his wellbeing carefully, I feel a companion/field home is now the most appropriate option for him, rather than selling him as a ridden horse. I want to be completely honest about this so he can find the right home with someone who is happy to give him a relaxed life and put his comfort first. He would make a wonderful companion and is a lovely horse to have around. Any future ridden work would need careful consideration and appropriate veterinary advice. He has the usual odd lump and bump for a horse of his age, but none have been identified as affecting him. He was fully vetted in December and assessed again before his spine treatment, with no lameness found at those assessments. X-rays/veterinary history available to genuinely interested homes. Up to date with vaccinations, worming, dentist, physio and farrier/shoeing. Low price to the right home — finding him the right home is far more important than the money. No dealers, please.
