We started out in group lessons, where Franco was happy to go first or last and would stand patiently while waiting for the next exercise. We took Franco to his first show in Ballinamona, starting at 50cm. He was excellent to load and travel, and he behaved impeccably in the warm-up. We continued attending the rest of the league, gradually moving up to 70cm, with Franco gaining confidence and improving with each round. After a short break, we competed in the 80cm arena eventing at Hillcrest. Franco was incredibly brave and continued to grow in confidence around the course, even in very windy and spooky conditions.
