When my client bought her three years ago, she was extremely wary of people generally, and men in particular. Today she is a sweet, affectionate mare—no competition star, but always willing to try new things with a happy attitude. She has been ridden for approximately eight months; everything under saddle was clearly new to her, yet she took it all in her stride. Lily is free from lumps, bumps, blemishes or past injuries. She is easy to , loads well, and will happily stand for hours to be groomed and fussed over. The only exception is clipping—she remains unsure of the noise and feel of clippers, so she currently requires sedation for this; with patience and time, this should improve.
