Antique 1920s Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Ring

For sale is a stunning sapphire and diamond cluster ring dating from the early 1920s The ring is set with a beautiful elongated, oval sapphire weighing approx. 2.5ct and surrounded by 12 old cut diamonds totalling approx. 1.85ct and each diamond held in a collet setting, so no claws at all. The sapphire is also collet set in the centre and with each stone enclosed in platinum, it gives this beautiful ring a fabulous design. The setting is raised above diamond encrusted shoulders with three small diamonds in each side and a simple 18ct white gold band surround with a scalloped design basket beneath. The sapphire is a lovely royal blue colour and the diamonds are dazzling and nice and large in size too!! The ring is fully hallmarked for 18ct white gold and platinum and the finger size is a P/Q and can easily be re-sized up or down to suit any finger. This is a large cluster ring with the setting measuring 23mm in length and 16mm in width. It is a stunning ring and sits nice and flat on the finger with no claws at all to catch in anything.
