Antique Russian Art Nouveau Bee Brooch/Pendant

For sale is a special bee pendant brooch dating from around the art nouveau era - 1915. The pendant is made in the form of a beautiful bee, with carved wings and striped torso and set with red stones (probably garnets). The pendant has amazingly carved legs and antenna. This lovely bee pendant brooch is quite large measuring 33mm in width and 25mm in length. The brooch is most likely Russian and dates to around 1910/1915. This piece can be worn as a stunning brooch or can be worn as a pendant on a chain as it has the facility for both with hoop at the back for the chain or the pin for a brooch. The pin is hallmarked 18ct rose gold and he whole main body tests as 14ct gold. A really beautiful and unusual piece that is very versatile.
