Black Snowflake Jade Bangle — inner diameter 55mm. A beautifully proportioned piece with a thick, solid profile that feels substantial and elegant on the wrist. The bangle is in perfect condition with no cracks, lines, or structural flaws. What makes snowflake black jade especially fascinating is the natural contrast within the stone itself. In “snowflake jade” (墨玉飘雪), the white “snowflakes” are not painted patterns or artificial effects — they are naturally occurring lighter mineral crystals formed within the dark jade matrix over geological time. The deep black areas are typically created by darker mineral inclusions such as graphite or iron-rich minerals, while the white snowy patterns are formed from cleaner, lighter jade crystals with fewer dark inclusions. This natural mineral contrast creates the appearance of drifting snow, ink wash textures, or misty landscapes found in traditional East Asian paintings. Each pattern is completely unique to nature, which is why no two snowflake jade bangles are ever identical.
