For collectors of literary history, Lot 693 offers a rare gem – a first edition of Oscar Wilde’s The Happy Prince and Other Tales, published in 1888 and illustrated by Walter Crane and Jacomb Hood. Only 1,000 copies were printed, and this one is preserved in its original Japanese vellum boards. Equally impressive is Lot 695: a handwritten and signed letter by George Bernard Shaw, dated 12th July 1912, on headed stationery from his historic London residence at Adelphi Terrace.
