Seiko 5 Actus SS 6106-8680 Vintage Automatic Watch

Seiko 5 Actus 6106-8680 from November 1975 JDM Vintage Japanese wristwatch in working condition with a replacement leather strap. Approximate dimensions: 38 mm case width 41 mm lug to lug 18 mm lug width Movement serviced in January 2025. New mainspring installed. New old stock original Seiko crystal fitted. New caseback and stem gaskets. It has not been pressure tested so water resistance is not guaranteed. As usual with vintage watches I would treat it as splash resistant at most just to be safe. The original 6106C movement inside is in very good condition. It features: - hacking (SS - stop second) - day and date quickset through pushing in the crown to two depths - day display in Kanji or English, selectable via the day quickset - time setting with the crown pulled out to the first position - automatic winding (by design there is no manual winding) There is some discolouration visible on the dial, particularly at the edge of the dial from 7 o'clock to 9 o'clock markers and slightly at 11 o'clock. Same discolouration in the middle of the dial under the hands and by the day/date window. Mild discolouration in the bottom section of the dial. I believe this is the oxidation of the silver layer of the dial under the original lacquer and paint. The watch is over 50 years old after all. The case has signs of wear and scratches. It has been polished with care about the case edges. Timegrapher readings approximately: -3 spd dial up -25 spd crown down Approx. -10spd on the wrist but your mileage may vary, depending on the activity and external conditions.
