Vintage 1950/60s Sapphire & Diamond Ballerina ring

For sale is a magnificent sapphire and diamond cluster ring dating from around the 1950/60s. The ring is set with a round cut Ceylon sapphire in the centre and surrounded by a ring of round brilliant cut diamonds, with an outer ring of baguette cut diamonds. The sapphire weighs approx. 1ct and is a stunning colour, the diamonds total approx. 2.75ct are are dazzling!!! The design of this ring is sometimes called a target ring as the rings of diamonds and the centre sapphire look like a target board. It is also called a ballerina ring as the fan of baguette cut diamonds give the impression of a ballerinas tutu. The ring is set in platinum and 18ct white gold. The finger size is a N (US 6.5) with a sizing ring inside the band or P (US 7.5) without the sizing ring. Very easy to have it removed and then the ring can be re-sized up or down to suit any size.
