Roland LX5 digital upright piano in light oak

This piano was basically unused, sitting in a living room, and is less than a year old. The tag is still on the pedal and all paperwork is included, unopened. I’m selling it for someone who moved abroad and couldn’t take it with them. The only reason I’m selling it is that I already have a piano. It comes with a matching beige adjustable piano bench. The LX series is Roland’s top-end line, and the LX5 is a very recent model, introduced last year, with a few important upgrades. I’ve played a lot of digital pianos over the years, including Roland, Kawai and Yamaha Clavinovas. Even the previous Roland LX705 sounded a bit artificial and too clean to my ears. That really changed with the LX5. The new Piano Reality Modelling sounds much more natural. The resonance and ambience modelling are on a different level, and you can now adjust things like string, cabinet and damper resonance. The sound feels less “perfect” and more alive, especially at lower dynamics. I was genuinely impressed. Pedalling is also modelled in real time, so the sound and resonance change depending on how far the pedal is pressed. The keyboard action is the PHA-50 hybrid action with wooden sides, known for its durability and control. The four-speaker system also sounds more enveloping than previous models. It’s a current, top-end digital piano that very rarely comes up for sale used. Any test welcome, collection from Dundalk. The piano comes apart but you still need a larger hatchback, estate or SUV to transport it.
