Exceptional Solid Live Edge Slab Dining Table

Stunning solid hardwood dining table with an exceptionally substantial single-slab top 10cm thick. The slab has a beautiful natural/live edge, strong grain variation, contrasting lighter and natural character throughout. The table has been fully stripped back, carefully sanded and refinished to highlight the timber rather than cover it. The top has been finished with Osmo oil, while the substantial carved solid-wood base has been refinished in Dulux Heritage Eggshell Raven’s Flight black, giving a clean contemporary contrast to the natural slab. Traditional butterfly/bow-tie stabilisation is visible underneath, together with natural checking and markings consistent with a large solid slab. Dimensions * Length: 152cm * Width: 86cm but varies along the live edge * Height: 75cm * Slab thickness.10cm * exceptionally heavy — likely over 110kg Extremely solid and very heavy piece of furniture. This is a genuine statement table and quite different from standard thin-top or laminated live-edge tables. Natural timber features, grain variations, knots and checking are all part of the character of the slab.
