Made by Alison Ospina, West Cork Small / Child's Chair – Rustic Irish Craft Piece A charming handmade chair by Alison Ospina of Green Wood Chairs, Rossnagoose, Skibbereen, West Cork – awell-known green wood chairmaker whose work is featured in her own published book and sold through galleries across West Cork. The chair carries her maker's stamp burned into the underside of the frame, confirming authenticity. Made from locally coppiced, unseasoned hazel in Alison's traditional green woodworking style, with the naturalbark left on the frame and a hand-woven rush/rope seat. A lovely rustic piece – ideal as a child's chair, occasional seat, plant stand, or decorative accent piece. Dimensions: Height: 55cm / 22" Width: 31cm / 12.33" Depth: 28cm / 11" Condition: Sturdy hazel frame in good structural condition. The woven rush seat shows wear and fraying in places (see photos)– still usable as is, or would benefit from re-cording by a skilled restorer/weaver if a fully tidy seat is wanted.
