This product stands the test of time with no loss of performance due to increasingly clogged filters. 4 litres of water are brought to a boil in a stainless steel chamber & the rising steam is then condensed in the cooling coil & returned to liquid form. The condensed, clean water is then passed through an activated carbon filter with a glass insert & collected drop by drop in a glass carafe, while all contaminants—such as pesticides, herbicides, pharmaceutical residues & limescale—remain in the stainless steel chamber. This chamber is simply rinsed out at the end of the process. One distillation cycle takes about five hours & can be carried out overnight. The device automatically switches off when the cycle is complete. Unlike reverse osmosis, the purity of the water in steam distillation does not depend on the performance of a filter whose effectiveness decreases over time. The distillation process guarantees consistently safe, crystal-clear, soft drinking water of the highest purity at all times. Thanks to the glass insert in the activated carbon filter attachment, the water does not come into contact with any plastic parts throughout the entire process.
