Ercol Day Bed/Studio couch newly upholestered Description Ercol Day Bed/Sudio Couch Model no. 355 A chance to purchase a piece of Ercol history. This vintage Ercol Daybed is in fantastic condition and looks stunning for it's age. The webbing has been replaced. The cushions have been recut and replaced fully with new fabric. ll the cushions are extremely comfortable and hard as original were soft and breaking down we got a talented upholster to cut and assemble new with foam . The legendary daybeds were produced using the finest (beech & elm) timbers, crafted by highly skilled operatives, made to last for decades. There is no modern comparison in terms of quality & craftsmanship. Manufactured in the 1960's, these original pieces made from Beech and Elm are far superior to the modern ones made from Ash. The couch bed measures 206cm in length, 72cm in main frame width, and 78cm in leg width. As with all refurbished vintage items, there will be signs of previous usage.
