Description
Beautiful midcentury Danish teak bookcase, combining elegance with functionality. Stamp at the back says '335-59' which I believe means it was manufactured in 1959. It looks like the Nexo bookcase, designed by Johannes Sorth and manufactured by Nexo Møbelfabrik in Bornholm, a small Danish island in the Baltic Sea. Features three height-adjustable shelves and a two tiered compartment at the bottom with sliding doors, offering additional storage. In good condition but there is some minor damage to the wood at some corners- please refer to all the photos and ask any questions if needed. Nexo bookcases were crafted from carefully selected, high-quality teak wood, as well as teak plywood and veneer. They all feature slightly rounded edges and a sculpturally carved base, which adds lightness to the construction. A minimalist but beautifully designed piece. Dimensions: 100cm wide 42.5cm deep at bottom and 182cm tall Similar styles sell for upwards of €1600 online.
