Land Rover Tomcat Project

The vehicle is based on a Defender 90 chassis with attached roll cage (non-homologated). Fabrication carried out by Stryker Landrover, Limerick. The engine and running gear is out of a donor Discovery 1 vehicle, engine 300 TDI. Manual gearbox, R380. The project is 85% complete, it will need parts sourcing, such as a steering column, windscreen and seal and doors. The cockpit is soundproofed with centre dashboard switch panel and centre overhead switch panel, including CB and 2 navigational lamps. 2 bucket seats. A new comprehensive wiring loom has been first-fixed, new battery box. All panels are of fibreglass construction with wide wheel arches to front x 2. Both front and fear axels have been refurbed, including new bearings all round. The suspension is an all-new 4" lift Terrafirma/Allmakes lift kit with springs, shocks and larger turrets. Brakes are drilled and slotted, Terrafirma/Allmakes brake pads. New Terrafirma cranked radius and trailing arms. New adjustable A-frame ball joint assembly. Running on new 4 x BF Goodrich KM3 mud terrain 315/75 R16 on new steel off-set wheels. New Terrafirma skeleton rock-sliders. New Terrafirma skeleton front winch bumper with new Terrafirma A12,000 winch with Dyneema rope. Onboard compressor. 4 x spare Maxis creeper crawler mud terrain 35/12.50 x 16. 4 boxes of Landy spares (various).
