1977 Kawasaki Z1000 A1

1977 Kawasaki Z1000 AI. The first year of the 1015 cc models that came after the famous Z1 900. One of the most beautiful bikes ever made and considered the ultimate superbike of its era. This is a matching numbers, unmodified and unrestored bike as it came out of the factory almost 50 years ago. I have owned this for 18 years, it is road tax free and MOT exempt with only 22200 miles, but this will go up as I am likely to take it out again. According to records there is roughly only 30 – 50 examples currently on the road within the UK. This is the twin disc UK version and not the single disk USA model with the teardrop tank. It has had everything it has needed since it has been in my care and I have been very careful to maintain as much of the originality as possible rather than replacing every part with new old stock and turning it into a show pony. All parts have been sourced from Z Power Kawasaki in England. Last year it had new Avon Tyres fitted, full service, full carb strip, ultrasonic clean with new inlet outlet rubbers and carb gaskets. New battery. New Fork Cap Bolts, full forks strip with new seals and fork oil. Brake callipers overhauled and new brake fluid. Loads of receipts and history.
