1998 Harley Davidson Sportster 883 XLH Regrettably selling my ‘98 Sportster as I am buying a higher Kw touring bike. The bike runs as sweet as it did the day it rolled out of the Hampton Roads H-D dealership. It has undergone a service in the last 2,500 km and is an absolute pleasure to ride. It starts on the first fire thanks to the new ignition coil pack and pickup fitted recently. The riding experience is nothing like what a modern bike delivers. The solid engine mounts, carburetted fuel delivery and raw V-twin tones from the gorgeous OEM exhaust contstantly keeps you coming back for more. It truly is a charmer of a bike and always gets a smile or a turn of the head as it’s simply not an average bike you see every day. There are 17,500km on the clock and the bike is taxed until April 2027. New Biltwell grips and whiskey throttle were fitted recently and I have brand new MCS tracker style handlebars to go with the bike, I never got around to fitting them but they have a relaxed riser pull back position. Cosmetically the bike is in extremely good condition, there are no dents, damage or corrosion. It has been dry stored its entire life time with a good portion of that time being in Dubai! Of course being nearly a 30 year old bike nothing is cosmetically perfect so there are a few minor imperfections as follows : small hairline scratch on right hand mirror, small stone chip on front underside of fuel tank, mild patch of pitting on rear most exhaust pipe & brake tie rod (see last picture of ad- would probably come off with scotch-brite), very small scratch on bottom end of fuel tank.
