1998 Suzuki TL1000R

We are delighted to present another one of our hand-picked motorcycles here at Retro Bikes Dublin, and this one is a real modern-classic icon. This 1998 Suzuki TL1000R is Suzuki's V-twin superbike, built to take on the Italians at their own game, and finding one in this striking original yellow, with this kind of spec, is becoming a rare thing indeed. This one stood out to us straight away. The TL1000R was Suzuki's no-compromise, fully-faired V-twin flagship, a proper homologation-era superbike with a big, torquey 996cc fuel-injected motor, a beautiful alloy twin-spar frame and that unmistakable late-'90s aggression. The bright yellow bodywork with carbon-look detailing is exactly the colour these are most loved in, and it looks fantastic in the metal. It has had some lovely tasteful additions too. There is a stunning Scorpion twin underseat exhaust system fitted that really lets the V-twin sing, plus an Öhlins steering damper up front. Importantly, this one also comes with a big bag of original parts, including the standard Suzuki exhaust cans, OEM seat and original suspension components, so the next owner has the option to return it to factory at any time, ideal for a collector.
