2023 SOFTAIL HERITAGE CLASSIC 114 The Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine represents the pinnacle of Harley Davidsons power plant evolution. Made to meet todays emissions standards, the block still retains that classic American look and feel and does so with more power, more comfort but none of the compromises that we could have expected from such a giant leap forward. The engine, and its derivatives now power pretty much everything in the Harley-Davidson range. Just one of these bikes is the Heritage Classic. The bigger 114 (1868cc) engine comes in a classic chrome with a blacked out finish. On this machine the muscle is on display at first glance. The headlight nacelle with its three chrome lights, topped by those raised bars is accentuated with a set of engine bars. The front mudguard is also a classic design made famous by the most American of bikes, the Fatboy. The chrome continues with the footboards, the oil cooler, the exhausts and those beautiful spoked wheels. All of this is complimented with the leather on the deep riders seat and a pair of spacious panniers. As befits a bike of its ‘Heritage’ the clocks are mounted on the tank, in gloss black, is in itself a nod to the bikes predecessors.
