Honda Varadero XL1000V

2001 Honda Varadero XL1000V Austrialian Import in very good overall conditon for age (24yr old bike), with 46k kms. KMH clocks as a result, which is nice for an older bike in Ireland. 996cc V-Twin engine on carbs (fuel injection didn't come on the Varadero until 2002), making it super reliable. The engine is shared with the very iconic VTR Firestorm, so it has a very smooth 5-speed transmission and linear torque delivery, making it perfect for those lazy short shift days or for those days when you want to stretch the gears a bit. It's very capable and comfortable at both. Silver over red colour combination, although it has black leather tank protector fitted (tank is immaculate, cover can be removed for inspection if required). Bought from a friend who is emigrating and bike was sitting up, dry stored for some time. Due to sitting up, I recently, within the last 3 months/ 1,500 kms, carried out some maintenance and repairs that were needed: 1. Rebuilt the front forks with new seals, bushes, dust caps, and oil. Painted fork legs. 2. Brand new Michelin Anakee tyres front and rear. 3. Replaced all graphite exhaust gaskets and one header pipe gasket. 4. Replaced: engine oil, engine oil filter, primary air filter, secondary air filters, and fuel filter. Bad points: 1. The previous owner dropped the bike at low speed, on R/H side, and the lower section of fairing has some minor road rash. Cosmetic only. 2. There is only one key for bike and top box. 3. Road tax expired. No part exhanges, swaps, or trades. Without appropriate driving licence category or insurance, there will be no test drive. Both calls and texts are welcome.
