Description
This is a reliable, nice to ride, lovely looking and well maintained Italian Moto, built to last. Usued for long spins including touring, serviced by myself with appropirate attention to details. I have recently inspected the valvetrain and adjusted the valve clearances (photo of the engine head attached). New spark plugs, air filter, gear oils on both ends (gearbox and the final drive unit), engine oil and filter soon (due in 2k km). The brake and clutch fluid was also changed earlier and will be done again soon. No faults on the bike. The engine, as well as the rest of the drivetrain, is very smooth, the tyres are very good still, brakes with recent pads, etc. No oil leaks, no smoke, no oil consumption (or very little with no top ups required) between service intervals. I have also checked and synchronised the throttle bodies using vacuum gauges and completed the reset of the TPS (throttle position sensor), cleaned and lubricated the brake and clutch lever hinges, adjusted cable plays, i.e. usual servicing required by the schedule. There are no faults and the bike is in great technical condition. Cosmetically it looks good too, although you would find some room for improvements if you are picky in that department. Good service history including the service book and a pile of invoices, mainly for service consumables. Two keys. This bike is similar to other Guzzi models like the Griso, Breva, Norge, etc. and shares most of the components within the model range. I also ride a very similar Sport 1200 4V (8V) with twice the mileage, so you can compare both side by side if you are interested in having a look. Warm up time respected with no unnecessary idling or revving and very gentle riding after starting from cold. One of the great design features of the engine is the thermostatically controlled oil cooling system - the engine oil circulates through the oil cooler only when it reaches its optimum temperature, which is typically after about 7-8 km of riding.
