Description

Marangon MDN Series – Standard Disc Mowers:  3 point linkage standard disc mower in 5’6”, 7’, 8’1”, and 9’4” working widths.  Belt driven with toothed SPBX belts which remain cooler than flat belts in normal working conditions.  Cone discs fitted on each end of the bed.  Fitted with Round discs for fuel economy  All discs fitted with stone guards.  The bed is described as a top service bed, which allows straight access to the gears beneath the discs.Detachable gears allow easy inspection and quick maintenance without opening the main bed.  Fitted with breakaway mechanism located on the A frame which allows maximum safety when coming into contact with large obstacles.  Reliable design with low maintenance technology. • Single acting hydraulic ram for lifting mower into transport position. • Bed is reinforced for use at high speeds on uneven ground conditions. • Bed suspension system reduces skid wear and tear. • Bed designed & manufactured by MARANGON. • Inner steel grassboard an optional extra. • Topping skid sets an optional extra. • Strongly built and durable. • All models in the MDN Series supplied with a galvanized frame from the 2014 season onwards. Round Discs v Oval Discs- advantages of Round Discs: • All of the range is fitted with hot forged steel round disks, which will guarantee optimum cutting quality in all conditions. • The round disc also requires less power from the tractor. • The design & shape of the round disc allow for a greater distance than oval discs when coming into contact with stones. • Round disks do not offer resistance to any obstacles and do not transmit stress or strain to the cutting mechanism. • The forged steel blades are particularly resistant and do not bend or flex. • Blades are fixed with strong high resistance bolts. • Forged steel blades manufactured by Marangon and typically last about 3 times longer than other blades.
