Mid Century Vintage G Plan Kofod Larsen designed Dining Set

Instagram : Retrovintagetipp Superb Mid Century Teak Extending Dining Table and Six Chairs from the G Plan Signature Danish Range designed by Ib Kofod Larsen dating from 1962. This particular Larsen design was produced by G Plan during the period 1962 to 1967 and is a lovely example of Danish minimalist design incorporating slender lines and sculptured sleek tapering legs. The six chairs feature the distinctive Larsen chair frame design, perfectly sculptured in Afromosia. The table is extended via two individual external extension leaves which slot into pull out brackets at either end of the table. The leaves are stored away neatly inside the table when not in use. When fully extended, the table can accommodate up to 10 people. This set is presented in excellent refurbished condition, the chairs have been recovered in a fresh modern hard wearing fabric. I have two additional G Plan Kofod Larsen designed chairs also available, similar but slightly different design which are included in some of the photographs. Larsen based his inspiration for the G Plan Danish Range on exposing the natural beauty of wood in its rawest form, which makes his designs very tactile and atmospheric, and this set will certainly make an impressive Mid Century style addition to any contemporary setting.
