Mid Century Vintage Ib Kofod Larsen Signature Danish Range Dining Set

Superb Mid Century Teak Extending Dining Table and Eight Chairs from the G Plan Ib Kofod Larsen designed Signature Danish Range dating back to 1962. This particular Larsen table design (Model 4320) was produced by G Plan during the period 1962 to 1967 and is a lovely example of Danish minimalist design incorporating slender lines, sculptured gently curving stretchers and sleek tapering legs. The chairs feature the distinctive Larsen chair frame design, perfectly sculptured in teak. The table is extended via two individual external extension leaves which slot into pull out brackets at either end of the table. The leaves are stored away neatly inside the table when not in use. When fully extended, the table can accommodate up to 10 people. This set is presented in lovely vintage condition commensurate with its age and previous use, the main table surface has been cleaned and refinished. The chairs have also benefited from a refurbish, having been cleaned and re-polished, new seat foam and upholstered in a quality black vinyl. Three of the chairs have historical repairs to the back joints as highlighted in the photos. Ib Kofod Larsen was one of the foremost influential designers of his era, his designs are highly coveted and are justifiably considered investment pieces. Larsen based his inspiration for the G Plan Danish Range on exposing the natural beauty of wood in its rawest form, which makes his designs very tactile and atmospheric.
