Rustic Oak Beam Stove Mantle / Floating sHELF

NEW : Quirky literal floating mantle / shelf.This solid piece of reclaimed oak had all the patina that only time can create with cracks,notches etc but unlike other mantle there isnt much old school damage on this and it has been sanded,cleaned and then oiled to bring it to its best..Mounting on forged iron for the floating bracket.The brackets can be mounted vertical or horizontal for a complte floating look.Bracket spike about 7" so a person can leave the beam floating from 2" to 4" from the wall.Measures 4.5ft approx.Solid n built to last.no stain just oiled to show all the knots and the rest. Although Ive left it to dry for weeks oak, it is not unusual for the wood to develop further shrinkage, movement, splits and cracks as it acclimatizes to your properties temperature. Therefore, we STRONGLY recommend that if the beams/fireplace are going above a log burner, fire or any intense heat, that the heat should be gradually increased over a period of a week or more if possible.
