Snakeskin Earthenware drum

Entirely made of earthenware. Colorful and detailed hand painted. The drum is covered with (snake) skin which also gives a nice look and sound. The drum has a rope harness with which it can be worn and played on the shoulder. Originating from Africa and was made around the period 1950-1960. The wooden drumsticks are 33 cm long. Item is in good and working condition. With a beautiful patina due to age, which makes it very decorative.
