Mid-to-Late 20th Century Chippendale Revival Mahogany Dining Suite: A high-quality, mid-to-late 20th-century Chippendale Revival dining room suite crafted in rich, deep-toned mahogany. The rectangular dining table, (212cms(L)*110cms(W)*80cms(H)), features a polished top with a decorative edge, supported by S-scroll cabriole legs. Each leg has hand-finished, carved acanthus leaf motifs at the knees, terminating in prominent, traditional ball-and-claw feet. The accompanying chairs (2 carvers and 6 dining chairs) feature carved open splat backs with cabriole front legs. The padded drop-in seats are upholstered in a traditional cream and beige floral brocade/damask fabric with a botanical pattern. The overall condition is very good to excellent vintage and the woodwork is structurally sound and solid frame construction throughout. The upholstery is clean and intact.
