HP ML110 G7 Mini Tower Server I’m selling this fantastic server, which is an ideal introduction to networking, servers, and homelab setups. One of its standout features is how quiet it is in operation — a huge advantage for any server in any environment. This server also includes a redundant power supply system, which was an optional extra originally when released. The server is highly versatile and can be used for a range of purposes, including virtualisation, a standalone PC, or a dedicated NAS (Network Attached Storage) system. Of which I’ve personally been using it for (as a NAS). The system features four drive bays supporting both SAS and SATA drives, and it currently comes populated with 4 × 1TB SAS drives. I’ve also upgraded the controller card to support I.T. mode, making it more flexible, reliable, and fully compatible with software such as FreeNAS, TrueNAS, Proxmox, and many other operating systems and applications. Specs: Intel i3-2100 CPU 2C/4T at 3.1GHz (Socket 1155), 8GB DDR3 RAM (Max 32GB), Intel HD Graphics 2000 at 850MHz, IBM 9207-8i SCSI (SAS) Host Bus Adaptor (HBA), *Potential storage in excess of 80TB (if upgraded to 4x20TB Drives)* 120GB Netac SSD (as Boot drive - OMV), 4 x 1TB HP SAS Drives secured within removable HP Caddies, 1 x Additional 1TB HP SAS Drive as a spare drive, in an anti-static bag, SATA DVD Drive. Currently the operating system is linux based, Open Media Vault (OMV) but you can install which ever operating system you choose onto the almost brand new Netac 120GB SSD. The possibilities are endless. Inside the server is very clean, the exterior of the server is good, but has a few age related marks and scratches, which do not affect its performance in any way.
