Happy hacker Stocky enough to carry an adult I bought this lad for my 12yr old daughter She adores him and they head off hacking most days after school. But she wants to showjump and do ponyclub and he doesn't. He finds canter hard and starts to panic when the fences come up to quickly for him. He's happiest hacking, endurance riding and popping an odd log. He hacks alone and in company , buckle of the reins. He's a saint to clip(no headcollar munching hay) Saint for the farrier, needs front shoes cause he's a bit of a softy He's not wonderful to load or travel on his own, happy when the box is moving but dances when its stopped, grand when the Shetland pony travels with him. He's a plonker to tack, nibbles at your jacket , moves around and generally acts like an over grown labrador puppy. Sometimes comes out of the stable on his toes and gives the impression of being fresh till your ass hits the saddle and then becomes the horse your granny could ride. No feed, good quality hay but if you intend to ride the next day, dont feed him, picture 5yr old child on skittles. He doesn't like to stand in a gateway for cars to pass because he owns the road so he will dance a bit. No buck, no rear, jig jogs if excited Ideal home would be someone whose has had horses all their lives but now just wants and easy life and a companion to hack with for the next 10 to 12 yrs No novices, the dancing at gateways and hopping around when tacking wouldn't suit a novice. Happy to answer all questions honestly. We adore him and want the best most suitable home possible.
