Day-Old Chicks

Day-old chicks available, hatching March 28th and on. All chicks are unsexed, all will require heating (brooder plate, heat lamp, or a broody hen). Located near Drumshanbo, but can often meet in Carrick-on-Shannon in the evenings or Sligo on the weekends. Chicks can also be hatched to order, but colors cannot be specified. 1. Purebred Araucanas - 8.00 each - Isabel and lavender colors, with the possibility of a few partridge chicks (see photo above). Will lay blue eggs; the cockerels in the isabel/partridge line tend to be quite chill and make good roosters. 2. Easter & Olive Eggers - 5.00 each - Will be out of our fantastic isabel araucana rooster; hens will lay a mix of blue, green, and olive-colored eggs. 3. Sablepoots (Booted Bantams) - 8.00 - 10.00 each - Lots of colors expected in the future, including lemon millefleur, black mottled, buff mottled, and assorted chicks. Lemon millefleur and buff mottled are out of gorgeous, show-quality breeding pairs. These birds are friendly and inquisitive, and the hens would make fun pet projects for kids. 4. Sablepoot (Booted Bantam) Breeding Pair - 40.00 - Lemon millefleur pair; out of the same rooster but from unrelated hens. Approximately 6 months old.
