A superb opportunity to acquire a highly original 1969 Ford Escort MK1 Left-Hand Drive, fitted with the dependable 1.1L Crossflow engine. First registered on 14/05/1969 (late 1968 production model). This Escort benefits from an outstanding ownership and service history with only 4 previous keepers from new: The first owner retained the car until 1990 and kept detailed records on an original Ford Data Card, documenting mileage from 41 km to 51,070 km by 1987. It was then retained and maintained by two Ford main dealers, with full service and repair records including brakes, suspension, exhaust and routine servicing right up to 2015. The last owner, before the car was imported into Ireland, was a Ford-trained mechanic. The current owner here in Ireland maintained the car in its pristine condition and only used it on good weather occasions. Since 1987, the car only covered a combined distance of slightly over 8,000 km, with the car now showing just over 60,000 km total. The car presents in excellent, well-preserved condition throughout and is a genuine, honest MK1 that has clearly been cherished all its life. These early Escorts are becoming increasingly scarce, particularly with this level of documentation and provenance. We booked Pristine Classics for our wedding and were delighted that we did. The car itself was what originally attracted us and it was very nice but realistically our driver Con was the real star. He was kind, professional and attentive from start to finish. For example, he didn’t just sit in the car waiting, he got out holding umbrellas for us, helped with flowers and didn’t hesitate for a second to stand out in the downpour getting soaked himself so that we wouldn’t get wet. He carefully placed towels under my dress to keep it dry and clean during our photos. Con’s calm, friendly manner made everything feel effortless on such a busy day. Con genuinely couldn’t do enough to help and we are so grateful for everything he did to make our day run smoothly. We highly recommend Pristine Classics to anyone looking for outstanding wedding transport and exceptional service.
