Suzuki Ignis S1500 Inspired Replica for the iconic S1600 Ignis project for sale. This was one of my lockdown projects that I've started at but due to other commitments I just don't have the time to go at project iggy unfortunately. Firstly I started out with a 2003 1.3 ignis that I was going to build as a track/ autocross car. I sent the car upto MRC Rollcages in Co.Down to get caged. Wayne and his team built a savage cage which is fully up to spec for everything including tarmac rallying! My motto with the cage was to do it right and do it once. The cage was made in 4 pieces of t45 seamless roll cage pipe which bolts together I commissioned the cage to be built like this so it could be moved to another shell again if needed (disposable shell). The cage is also powder coated signal grey. As everyone knows who has ever seen an MRC rollcage you get what you pay for and their work is top class and you well in truly get what you pay for! Unfortunately the headgasket is gone as the waterpump went on the engine but I have a spare m13 1.3 there for it. The second car is a Ignis sport 1.5 m15 115bhp. These cars aren't that common to find in Ireland and I was actually going to buy one in the UK until I found this one 10miles away. Unfortunately it's suffered bad with rust in the sills so it's just for spares. The interior is gone. But all of the running gear is there and 100%. Between the two cars it would be a savage project to build into the 1.3 shell with the 1.5 sport running gear which can be made to run approximately 125/130bhp with a Japanese ecu, induction kit and a good exhaust. Bear in mind the car weighs about 800kg so power to weight is unreal! Harry Hockley motorsport in the uk stocks alot of parts from bolt on sumpgards/ tank guards to bilstein suspension as so upgraded parts can be got. I was going to build it as a junior tarmac car with 130bhp/800kg it would be well fit it. Priced to sell at €3000 Good spares package included! Yellow ignis also available.
