Rival 32 Sailing Yacht

For sale is our Rival 32, built in 1970, a solid and capable cruising yacht with a strong offshore reputation. We purchased her in September 2022 and carried out a thorough refit over the following winter. The boat is now in very good condition and has been sailed regularly since. In recent years, she has mainly been used for day sailing and weekend cruising. However, she is a proven bluewater boat and has previously completed Atlantic crossings and longer. The refit addressed both structural and cosmetic aspects, with a focus on reliability and functionality. Below deck, the interior was completely renewed creating a modern and cohesive living space while retaining the classic character of the yacht. The engine, a Beta Marine 35 (year: 1995/ hours: ca.500), was fully serviced as part of the work. All standing rigging has been replaced in winter 2022, and most of the running rigging renewed. The deck has been repainted. She is equipped with a mechanical windlass and a wind-vane self-steering system, which works extremely well and has proven reliable both for relaxed sailing and longer passages. The boat has been mostly sailed with two people and has also been sailed single-handed, which is manageable for an experienced sailor.
