Focusrite Saffire PRO 40 professional FireWire audio interface for sale. This was bought for one job and one job only — my drum teaching studio. It was used in the same studio setup for approximately one year, permanently connected, carefully looked after and never subjected to the usual wear and tear of live gigging. It was never being loaded in and out of vans, moved from venue to venue or thrown around as part of a touring setup. For me, this was the heart of the studio and genuinely made my job as a drumming teacher incredibly easy and straightforward. I regularly had multiple microphones connected for drum lessons, recording and playback, and it performed exactly as I needed it to. Any sound engineer who came into the studio and worked with it never had an issue with it whatsoever. It was always reliable, simple to work with and a brilliant piece of equipment for multi-mic recording. The unit is in very good overall condition, with only the minor signs you would expect from being installed and used in a studio environment. I have since moved on from the studio and simply no longer need it, which is the only reason it is being sold. It was a genuinely dependable piece of equipment and one that made my own setup much easier to run. Please note that this is a FireWire audio interface, so buyers should make sure their computer or recording setup has the appropriate FireWire or compatible Thunderbolt connection/adaptor before purchasing. Collection is strongly preferred due to the size and nature of the equipment. I can also arrange personal delivery myself at an additional charge, depending on location.
