Old German trade violin

Old German trade violin. Circa late 19th Century. Purchased at Bonhams auction house London in 2000. Violin has a crack to front plate but crack is closed from the inside by internal studs. Lovely rich tone. Have written advice from respected luthier that the violin is handmade. Also have written advice from the luthier that the violin would be valued circa €2500 when repaired. The instrument is playable but should be repaired to ensure maximum tonal quality. The violin would make a great playing instrument for an advanced student when fully repaired and would be of interest to a musician or student looking for an antique instrument with good projection and a mellow tone.
