3/8" Carvers Gouge by SJ Addis

A 9mm woodcarvers gouge in very good condition made in Sheffield by Samuel J Addis. The cast steel blade is outcannelled, fingernailed, sweep no 3, sharpened and ready for use. The premium boxwood handle is in good shape. The Ward & Payne stamp on the blade would indicate a manufacturing date sometime between 1895 and 1915.
