Brassed Jointer Plane

A most unusual long jointer / try plane. The 26" / 680mm body is made of straight grained quarter sawn oak with a brass plate sole. Used to true/ straighten the edges of long boards for glueing up into table or bench tops. Its in very good condition, the body is dead straight and free of cracks. The carbon steel blade by Peugeot Bros is sharpened and set ready for work. A very effective plane at a fraction of the cost of a Stanley no 8 or even the cheapest machine jointer.
