The Vimek 470 is Vimek’s largest harvester, designed specifically for productive thinning work while keeping ground impact to a minimum. Its compact dimensions, low weight and Dual Steering System allow the machine to work efficiently between standing trees, reducing the need for wide extraction routes and making it particularly well suited to selective thinning. Powered by a 55.4kW CAT Stage V engine, the Vimek 470 combines strong performance with a hydrostatic-mechanical transmission and a top speed of up to 18km/h. It is available in either 4WD or 6WD, with the 6WD option providing increased stability and ground-bearing capability for more demanding conditions. The auto-levelling crane tilt provides up to 15° compensation on uneven terrain, while harvester head options include the Keto 42 or Logmax 2000T. Inside, the modern NG cab provides excellent visibility, including a large roof window for a clear view of the crane and treetops. A choice of integrated bucking systems, Vimek Connect functionality and a 12.1-inch display provide the operator with straightforward machine control and access to operational information.
