This Escort benefits from an outstanding ownership and service history with only 4 previous keepers from new: The first owner retained the car until 1990 and kept detailed records on an original Ford Data Card, documenting mileage from 41 km to 51,070 km by 1987. It was then retained and maintained by two Ford main dealers, with full service and repair records including brakes, suspension, exhaust and routine servicing right up to 2015. The last owner, before the car was imported into Ireland, was a Ford-trained mechanic. The current owner here in Ireland maintained the car in its pristine condition and only used it on good weather occasions. Since 1987, the car only covered a combined distance of slightly over 8,000 km, with the car now showing just over 60,000 km total. The car presents in excellent, well-preserved condition throughout and is a genuine, honest MK1 that has clearly been cherished all its life. These early Escorts are becoming increasingly scarce, particularly with this level of documentation and provenance. The best decision we made for our entire wedding was talking to Helen and booking Pristine Classics. From start to finish an incredible experience. The car (Bentley) and the VW bus for the bridal party were top class. The drivers were great craic and knew exactly what to do all day they are pros. We would highly recommend Pristine Classics wedding car hire to any couple for their wedding day or for any other occasion. We were so delighted with the service we received from Con, our lovely driver. He went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and happy from the moment we met on our wedding day, he was clearly very experienced at what he does. A true gentleman. The car itself was both beautiful & immaculately clean. Helen took care of the booking process and was friendly, efficient & helpful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We used Pristine Classics for our wedding in May, and we genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment the car arrived, everything was flawless — it was beautifully presented, classic, and elegant — but the real highlight was our incredible chauffeur, Con. Not only did Con provide a top-class service, he truly went above and beyond in every sense. On what turned out to be a very rainy day, he got soaked three separate times while helping us in and out of the car, always with a smile, holding umbrellas and making sure we were completely looked after. He was so drenched at one point, we had to bring him inside and dry him off with a hairdryer before heading to the church — and even then, his good humour never faltered! But what really stood out was Con’s presence throughout the day. He was an absolute breath of fresh air — like a mini, much-needed therapy session between the church and the venue. He had us laughing, relaxed, and truly enjoying the moment, even when emotions were running high. His calming energy and good humour were exactly what we needed on a very special but naturally stressful day. We’re so grateful to Pristine Classics, and especially to Con, for playing such a memorable and meaningful role in our wedding day.
