Description

Fransgard road graders are ideal for repairing, levelling and putting a gradient on roadways and paths Less inputs - Save €€€ by recycling the stone already on your roads to fill and level ruts & potholes. It is cheaper to quickly repair roadways a little and often, especially on wetter years. It costs more to repair roads with deep ruts and potholes. Potholes are formed by water pooling on the road, every pass of a vehicle or hoof increases the size of the pothole. Putting a gradient allows water to run off to prevent the pooling on the surface, and subsequent potholes. Increased comfort and safer to drive on roads without potholes - less wear and stress on vehicles, trailers, and machines. Reduce lameness with level and graded roads. Higher stocking rates & longer distances to field on rutted roads result in increased lameness, a quick run of a leveller significantly reduces this. Shaping the road allows slurry, FYM, water run off, etc. to be diverted into fields rather than into watercourses. The Teagasc website states that "there is also a requirement to prevent direct run-off from farm roads into waters. This applies to all farms, regardless of enterprise or stocking rate." The rear of the blade is designed to be used for primary spreading of stone on roads, the front of the blade is used for cutting and shaping. The blade (on most models) can be steered by a ram to direct recycled material to where it is needed. Hardox wear blades are reversible. Supplied with serrated edge on the bottom and smooth edge on top. The serrated is generally used when grading compacted roads, and the smooth edge is often used on asphalt or concrete - e.g. pushing feed in a passage, snow ploughing, field work, etc. A rubber blade can be fitted as an option (snow plow, yard scraping, pushing feed, etc.) Several ranges and widths available, from small tractors for estates, right up to contractor spec. models. (front mounted & forklift mounted versions also available). Models can be supplied with hydraulic ram on headstock to allow the gradient to be set hydraulically from the cab (total of 40 degree movement up and down), otherwise it is controlled manually with pins. I have one shop soiled GT 275 HY available ex stock for sale at the old price - same as the model shown in the video. 2.75m / 9 foot. This stock unit has the upgraded 360 degree swivel wheel option, and a side board for carrying material. Call for special price. Next models will be significantly dearer. Note this GT 275 HY is the ideal grader for most farmers with tractors of approx. 80-110hp. It is not a contractor model. Photos show various models. Danish quality for over 50 years. Many Fransgard road levellers / graders working in Ireland now.
