It uses a PMG alternator and provides 230V and 110V auxiliary power outputs, making it suitable for site environments where portable welding and basic power supply are needed in the same unit. There is a 230V single-phase socket and a 110V single-phase socket, along with power output protection and an automatic idle device when no load is connected. For welding performance, the Weldbaby 180 is set up for Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) with electromechanical current regulation. The welding output range is 40A to 150A, 150A at 24V at 60% duty cycle, 70V open circuit voltage, and a maximum welding rod size of 3.25mm.
