One Day Introduction to Woodturning Friday 27th March 2026 Time: 9.30am – 4.00pm Instructor: Seamus Cassidy This one day course is intended to provide a practical and hands on introduction to the equipment, skills & safety involved with woodturning. No previous experience is necessary and our instructor, Seamus Cassidy will guide you through the process to your first woodturned piece in an informative, safe and enjoyable manner. A maximum of 6 participants are taken on each course ensuring you receive adequate attention for the class duration. To ease you into the course you will turn a square spindle round add some beads & coves before tackling a bowl that you will complete & take home with you at the end of the course. Held above our store in Naas, W91XH68, our recently redeveloped classroom will provide you with a bright & spacious environment to work in. You will have use of all our classroom equipment, lathe & turning tools. Timber required will also be provided as will an apron & safety wear. It is important to wear comfortable & closed toe footwear – no flipflops or sandals are permitted. A light meal & refreshments are included in your fee.
