One Day Pyrography Course - Sat 9th May

One Day Pyrography Course with Paula Gormley Saturday 9th May 2026 Time: 9.30am – 4.00pm This is a hands-on course and using a hot wire machine you will learn about tone, texturing, transferring patterns & adding colour to your work. You will have use of all our classroom equipment & pyrography machines. Timber, card, transfer paper, colours & all other materials required will also be provided. A light lunch & refreshments are included. Your tutor for the day will be Paula Gormley. Course is limited to 8 places Interested in the art of woodburning or pyrography? Whether you’re a novice looking for a new hobby or a woodturner, carver or furniture maker looking to enhance your work this one day course is an ideal introduction. During this hands-on class each student will work with a Peter Child hot wire machine. They will be guided through machine set up, point & material selection, transferring patterns and practice all the basic techniques needed including tone, texturing, & adding colour to your work. Over the day students will hone their skills by working on a tonal chart & a project that you can select with your tutor on the day or you will be welcome to bring your own project idea with you. Held above our store in Naas, W91XH68, our recently redeveloped classroom will provide you with a bright & spacious environment to work in.
