It's a wee bit unusual this model, It has a winding device to raise and lower the drill head (common sort of thing on modern 'far East' machines), however unlike other machines with the raisings devices this one will lift the drill head to where the drill chuck is 500mm from the bed and at the same time lower the drill head to within 50mm for the base.
